Measures of maximal entropy
We extend the results of Walters on the uniqueness of invariant measures with maximal entropy on compact groups to an arbitrary locally compact group. We show that the maximal entropy is attained at the left Haar measure and the measure of maximal entropy is unique.
متن کاملRényi entropy dimension of the mixture of measures
Rényi entropy dimension describes the rate of growth of coding cost in the process of lossy data compression in the case of exponential dependence between the code length and the cost of coding. In this paper we generalize the Csiszár estimation of the Rényi entropy dimension of the mixture of measures for the case of general probability metric space. This result determines the cost of encoding...
متن کاملTopological Entropy Dimension and Directional Entropy Dimension for ℤ2-Subshifts
The notion of topological entropy dimension for a Z-action has been introduced to measure the subexponential complexity of zero entropy systems. Given a Z2-action, along with a Z2-entropy dimension, we also consider a finer notion of directional entropy dimension arising from its subactions. The entropy dimension of a Z2-action and the directional entropy dimensions of its subactions satisfy ce...

متن کاملDeformed Generalization of the Semiclassical Entropy
We explicitly obtain here a novel expression for the semiclassical Wehrl’s entropy using deformed algebras built up with the q−coherent states (see Arik and Coon [J.Math.Phys. 17, 524 (1976) and Quesne [J. Phys. A 35, 9213 (2002)]). The generalization is investigated with emphasis on i) its behavior as a function of temperature and ii) the results obtained when the deformation-parameter tends t...
